Creating Your Perfect Golf Swing
Monday, December 14th, 2009Prior to swinging, you will need to come up with some sort of routine that you can go through, and one that will help swing.you to focus. There are many golfers, and there are just as many who have different ways of preparing to actually
Below you will find a routine that you can use before each and every shot. It will help you out quite a bit in your own game, and soon enough you will be swinging like a pro.
Step 1: Take one practice swing. Many players, especially beginners, tend to overdo this first step by taking too many practice swings. Unfortunately, taking too many practice swings can make a person more nervous and less confident about the shot.
Just take a single practice swing before actually hitting. Keep your mind off what is going on, and just make yourself limber. Don’t over stress it, and don’t think about it too much!
Step 2: Visualize the outcome of the shot you wish to see. Once you have loosened up with a practice swing, take a few steps back and mentally visualize the clubhead hitting the ball in perfect harmony with your desired aim.
Picture the ball flying through the air, with a perfect arc, and then landing exactly where you want it to go. Literally pretend that you are making a real shot, then step up to the ball for the real thing.
Step 3: Your aim is next. You need to put the ball in a spot where you’ll be sure to hit it. Basically you just need to align yourself with the clubhead. When you do this, consider the turf you stand on, and the distance of the shot that you are going to take.
When you have sufficiently prepared, you need to choose a second target. This target will be directly in front of you, and this target will help you to hit the ball all the way to it’s final destination.
Step 4: Proceed to shoot! You’ve done your practice swing, you visualize the shot, your aim is perfect. Take your time swinging and stay limber. When you are sufficiently prepared, make your shot with confidence, knowing that you have taken the time to ensure you shot will make it all the way to it’s destination.
