There are many ways to farm gold in World of Warcraft, but many people still find it hard to earn enough and are more inclined to buy gold in the real world. If you look at the Auction House, you will find that there is a good supply of Northrend mats, as more and more people are in that area now. So, you may like to get mats in Outland or even in Pre B.C. to avoid huge competition.

2. Keep monitoring the Auction House and try to spot items with less competition before you go about to farm a target.

3. Target those items that are easy to get and easy to sell, and a good example is the deviate fish in the Barrens. They are not difficult to fish, but can sell for about 15 gold per stack. How many stacks do you think you can get in 30 minutes? 2 or possibly 3?

4. Remember, price fluctuation for a particular item is only normal and never get panic when you find the price of an item you have on hand drop. What you can do is just to wait for a few days, and chances are the price will go up again.

5. Sites like Thott or Wowhead are also helpful resources, as they will provide you with ideas of how much an item usually sells in the Auction House. Keep those information in your mind will help you avoid underpricing your items, and you may even spot an under-priced item and do an arbitrage immediately.
